The Book of Instructions

Teachings on obedience, alignment, patience, and following the steps in their proper sequence, without skipping ahead.

Instructions 1 — Of Order and Obedience

1:1 In the beginning of every build, there is an instruction; and the instruction is given for a purpose.

1:2 Blessed are they who read fully, for they shall not rebuild twice.

1:3 Cursed is the builder who says, “I know better,” before the first step is complete.

1:4 For obedience precedes mastery, and humility precedes strength.

1:5 The wise builder trusts the manual, even when the reason is not yet revealed.

1:6 For each step prepares the way for the next, and none is given in vain.

Instructions 2 — Of Sequence and Timing

2:1 Thou shalt not skip ahead, neither shalt thou assume the end from the beginning.

2:2 For that which is built too soon shall not align, and that which is forced shall fail.

2:3 The numbered steps are not suggestions, but a covenant of sequence.

2:4 Many have sought shortcuts, yet few have found stability therein.

2:5 Remember: the strength of the build is hidden in the steps unseen.

Instructions 3 — Of Alignment and Fit

3:1 Seek alignment in all things, both stud and tube, plate and brick.

3:2 Force not the piece which resists, for resistance is a sign of error.

3:3 That which bends unwillingly shall weaken the whole.

3:4 A proper fit brings peace to the builder and longevity to the build.

3:5 When alignment is true, the build rests without stress.

Instructions 4 — Of Patience and Endurance

4:1 The build is not completed in haste, nor perfected in frustration.

4:2 Pause when confusion arises, and return to the last confirmed step.

4:3 Patience restores what impatience destroys.

4:4 Even the greatest sets are built one step at a time.

4:5 He who endures to the final page shall rejoice in the completed model.

Instructions 5 — Of Trust and Completion

5:1 Trust the process, for the finished form is greater than the sum of its parts.

5:2 What seems unclear now shall be revealed in later steps.

5:3 Doubt not the designer, whose vision exceeds thy perspective.

5:4 When the final piece is placed, look upon the build and see that it is good.

5:5 And set it upon the shelf with gratitude, for obedience has brought completion.

Closing Instruction

6:1 These teachings are given that chaos may be avoided and joy preserved.

6:2 Build as instructed, align as intended, and patience shall be thy reward.

6:3 For only the best is good enough.
